Public Works
The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintenance work for the City of Ludington streets, alleys, parks and general City property. The DPW office, located at 975 First St., is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8am to noon and 1pm to 5pm.

Department Responsibilities
Call the DPW Clerk 231-843-2873 with any questions regarding the following city issues:
- Brush/tree limb pickup
- Clean and sweep streets
- Cleaning of catch basins
- Cutting down and removal of dead trees within the City right of way
- Fall-leaf pickup
- Grading and graveling of City alleys
- Installation and removal of snow/sand fence at the beach and surrounding areas
- Manage Refuse, Recycling, and Yard Waste issues
- Snow plowing
- Street markings
- Street repairs
- Street signs
- Traffic barricades and cones
- Working on the special events that occur through out the year by providing the requests of each organization such as picnic tables, barricades, trash barrels, etc.

For payments regarding taxes, water utilities, or to purchase yard carts, bulk item stickers and extra trash stickers please visit the City Hall municipal office building at 400 S. Harrison Street, or call City Hall at 231-845-6237
