AD HOC RECREATIONAL MARIJUANA COMMITTEE MEETINGS

The Marijuana Ad Hoc Committee will meet at 7:00 PM at Ludington City Hall in the Council Chambers on the following dates:
Monday, April 15th- Committee will meet at 5:00pm
Monday, May 13th
Monday, June 17th
Monday, July 15th
Monday, August 19th
The Ad Hoc Committee is charged with investigating and reviewing all aspects of the potential impact of Initiated Law 1 of 2018, MCL 333.27951, et. Seq., on the City, including the potential for economic development, impacts on public safety and public health and other issues related to recreational marijuana. The committee will identify both the potential positive and negative impacts. The committee may hold one or more public hearings. The committee is not delegated, and shall not exercise, any governmental or proprietary authority or perform any governmental or proprietary function.

Mayor Steve Miller and Councilor At-Large Brandy Henderson will be attending any one of these meetings as well.
This will be a great opportunity for City Manager Mitch Foster and the Councilor to meet with their ward constituents for the purposes of introducing himself to the community as well as starting a discussion on strategic planning for 2019-20.
