The City of Ludington is challenging our community to create a new logo for the celebration in 2023 that will be used for the official event marketing promotions including social media, printed materials, clothing, etc.
Logo Design Contest Rules
The competition is open to all.
• Designs must be submitted in electronic formats. Maximum pixel is 1280px by 1280px
• Electronic submissions should be in .png, .jpg, or .tiff file formats.
• Submit entries via email at email@example.com
August 15, 2022, 12:00 noon.
A committee comprised of members of the Sesquicentennial Committee will judge and select the winning entry. Entries will be judged on their visual appeal, adherence to the concept prompting the contest, quality of design, and ease of reproduction for the purposes stated above. The Judge’s decision will be final.
The Sesquicentennial planning committee will acquire ownership of the winning logo by assignment of copyright, and the winning designer will disclaim any trademarks and without limitation, all other rights related to the design. By submitting a logo for entry in the competition, the designer acknowledges that he/she is the person that created the logo and is the rightful owner. The designer also certifies that the logo does not infringe upon the rights of any third party and that it does not violate any copyright.
The designer grants the City of Ludington the right to use this logo entry for publishing, illustration, advertising, trade and promotion, or any other use in any medium for any purpose of the City of Ludington. The Designer holds the City of Ludington harmless from any and all liability that might arise out of or result from the foregoing use. The entry signifies that the Designer will abide by all rules and understands and agrees that these materials will become the property of the City of Ludington and will not be returned.
The planning committee and the City of Ludington are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or otherwise unusable entries, including entries that are lost or unusable due to computer, internet, or electronic problems.
