City Buildings Closed to Public Access Due To COVID-19

City Buildings Closed to Public Access Due To COVID-19

City Staff Available By Phone During Regular Working Hours

 

Beginning at 8:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 18th, 2020, all City buildings will be closed to the general public until December 7th, 2020 at 8:00 A.M. or until further Emergency Orders are adjusted. Anyone needing city services or who have a previously scheduled appointment should call the respective office before traveling to a city building.  This decision is based on the Emergency Order of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, conversations with local health officials, and local public safety officials.

 

Business may be conducted via U.S. Mail, phone call, the night drop-box or online at www.ludington.mi.us. The night drop-box will be processed continually. Staff will be available via phone at the city, department of public works, and the police department during regular working hours. If you call the city office at (231) 845-6237, we can mail or email copies of bills and invoices if needed.

 

In addition, the following in-person meetings scheduled for the time period City Hall will be closed have been moved to virtual, Zoom, meetings:

  • Cemetery, Parks and Recreation (November 17th at 6:00pm);
  • Finance and Personnel (November 18th at 4:00pm);
  • Public Safety/Public Utilities (November 19th at 2:00pm);
  • Planning Commission (December 2nd at 6:30pm).

 

The meeting login information will be posted to the City website shortly with updated notices and agendas.

 

Finally, all in-person activities scheduled for the Ludington Senior Center are postponed until conditions determine it is safe to reopen. However, please see their website for information regarding virtual fitness classes or other offerings at this time.
