 BIDDING:                   Single all trade bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at City of Ludington Office, 400 S. Harrison, Ludington, MI 49431, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Sealed bids shall be clearly marked “STEARNS PARK NORTH RESTROOM RENOVATION PROJECT – CITY OF LUDINGTON” and be addressed to:

Proposed contract documents are on file and available for viewing at the office of the Owner, and on the City of Ludington web site www.ludington-mi.gov.

Bidders may obtain copies of the Construction Drawings and specifications at their own expense by contacting Kwik-Print Plus located at 601 N. Washington Street, Ludington, MI (tele: 231.845.7030).

The successful bidder shall provide payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of its bid in the event the bid exceeds $50,000.

PRE-BID MEETING:                 A Pre-Bid Meeting for reviewing the existing facility will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the project site.  Attendance is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged.  All parties to meet at the North Concession Restroom,Stearns Park,Lakeshore Drive,Ludington,MI.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept other than the low bidder, negotiate with one or more bidders before accepting a bid, or to waive any informalities in the bidding process if deemed in the best interest of the Owner.

No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 30 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner.

The successful bidder will be required to covenant and agree with the Owner that it and each of its subcontractors shall not discriminate against an employee or applicant for employment with respect to hire, tenure, terms, conditions or privileges of employment or a matter directly or indirectly related to employment, because of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, or marital status and shall cause a similar covenant to be placed in all contracts with subcontractors.  A breach of this covenant will be considered a material breach of the Agreement between the Owner and Contractor, including all subcontractors of Contractor.  The City of Ludington is an equal opportunity employer.
