The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintenance work for the City of Ludington streets, alleys, parks and general City property.  Responsibilities include tree limb/brush clean-up, street repairs, street markings, street signs, fall leaf pickup, snow plowing, installation and removal of snow/sand fence at the beach and surrounding areas, cleaning of catch basins, clean and sweep streets, grading and graveling of City alleys, cutting down and removal of dead trees within the City right of way, and working on the special events that occur through out the year by providing the requests of each organization such as picnic tables, barricades, trash barrels, etc.
