Captain Michael L. Harrie

 

Captain Michael L. Harrie began his law enforcement career as a part-time police officer with the Hesperia Police Department in 1994.  Later in 1994 Captain Harrie was hired as a full-time police officer by the Ludington Police Department.

 

As a member of the Ludington Police Department Captain Harrie has served in uniform patrol, the S.S.C.E.N.T. Narcotics Team, as a Detective, Road Patrol Sergeant, and Detective Sergeant.  He was promoted to the rank of Captain on January 3rd, 2010.

 

Captain Michael L. Harrie earned his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice at West Shore Community College in Scottville, Michigan.  He has also completed coursework at Ferris State University, and a number of investigative courses such as Advanced Homicide Investigation, Basic and Advanced Narcotics Investigation, and Arson Investigation, Basic and Advanced REID Interview & Interrogation.

 

Captain Harrie is one of three certified L.P.D. Police Motor Officers, and is responsible for the implementation of the Sex Offender Enforcement Program.
