  1. Dopple Dock

    6:00-11:00pm on May 20, 2017

The Doppel Dock Party Will Feature a Taste of Downtown Ludington Fare and Michigan Beer. With a tapas-style dinner in a waterfront tent and a mini beer festival on the SS Badger, this dockside party is going to be double fun!
Start the evening off from 6-8pm with a taste of Downtown Ludington in a waterfront tent on the Lake Michigan Carferry grounds. Enjoy a tapas-style dinner served by 12 Downtown Ludington restaurants and craft beer from Jamesport Brewing Company. At 7pm, you'll have a front row seat to welcome the Badger back to her home dock from her first Saturday sailing of 2017.
At 8pm, board the ship where you will find craft beer and cider from 12 Michigan breweries. Take time to explore the ship, buy a souvenir from the Badger Gift Shop and listen to Djypsy Jazz Band on the upper deck. If weather allows, you'll have a great view of a Pure Ludington sunset from the bow.
Tickets are $49 and include dinner, 6 drink tokens (worth one 5oz pour each) and a souvenir tasting glass. Only 500 tickets will be sold so don't delay!
--You can purchase additional tokens aboard the ship.--We will remained docked, so you may exit the ship at any time.--Questions? Contact Jen Tooman at 231-845-6237 or jen@downtownludington.org This event is the kick-off for the Legacy Park reimagining project (currently James Street Plaza) . The Downtown Ludington Board plans to enhance this gathering space by creating a walk through Ludington's history including a fire pit area to reflect our Native American heritage, a timber-frame pavilion as a nod to our logging heritage and artifacts from our maritime heritage. Names of donors will be recognized in a sculpture that will reside in the park. Visual design concepts will be revealed at the event.
